The Nile river severs home to over 100 different species of fish such as the Tiger fish. The name tiger fish is usually given to fish that belongs the Alestidae family. The tiger Fish are usually found in the African waters ( fresh water). The Nile river is also home to Nile Crocodiles. The Nile Crocodile can grow up to 20ft long and can weigh a maxim of 1,650lb. They are the top predator in the Nile and only have two natural enemies themselves and the Hippopotamus. The Hippopotamus is also one of the many residents of the The Nile River. It is the largest animal that lives in the Nile. The Hippo as it is commonly known as stands at 4.9ft to the shoulder and can be a length of 11-17ft. Their lifespan can be 40-50 years and can weigh a smashing 3,300lbs.
